PLM Reference Implementation

The Data Gateway is an abstract service interface provided by Threedy. It is used to retrieve external data and authorize user access based on the HTTP protocol. To understand how instant3Dhub handles external 3D CAD data, see 3D Data Resources.

Enterprise PLM systems such as Siemens Teamcenter or PTC Windchill usually do not provide such an interface out of the box requiring an additional custom component to be developed to fill this gap. To ease development, Threedy provides a reference implementation of a Data Gateway capable of interfacing with several common PLM systems. In case additional custom logic is required, the reference implementation can be used as a starting point.
